| relating to the development of the Interstate Highway 635 East | ||
| project in Dallas County. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Chapter 250, Transportation Code, is amended by adding | ||
| Section 250.002 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 250.002. INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 635 EAST PROJECT PROVISIONS. | ||
| (a) In this section, "project" means the Interstate Highway 635 | ||
| East project from United States Highway 75 to Interstate Highway 30 | ||
| in Dallas County. | ||
| (b) In developing the project, the department shall: | ||
| (1)construct and maintain, from U.S. Highway 75 to | ||
| Interstate Highway 30: | ||
| (A) a minimum of at least two continuous frontage | ||
| roads in each direction; | ||
| (B) a minimum of ten (five in each direction) | ||
| general-purpose, non-restricted, non-revenue generating general | ||
| purpose free main lanes; | ||
| (C) noise walls and noise abatement measures for | ||
| residential neighborhoods along the corridor; | ||
| (D) enhanced access to and along the frontage | ||
| roads; | ||
| (E) the IH-635 East and IH-30 interchange with | ||
| continuous frontage roads in anticipation of the IH-30 project; | ||
| (2) The department is responsible for project costs | ||
| for rights-of-way acquisition and municipal utility relocation. | ||
| (c) The Commission may not exercise its discretion in | ||
| Sections | ||
| 228.007, 228.008, 228.201, Sec. 224.1541 Transportation | ||
| Code. | ||
