| relating to the creation of an additional judicial district | ||
| composed of Travis County. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 24, Government Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Section 24.599 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 24.599. 455TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT (TRAVIS COUNTY). (a) | ||
| The 455th Judicial District is composed of Travis County. | ||
| (b) The 455th District Court shall give preference to civil | ||
| and family law matters. | ||
| SECTION 2. The 455th Judicial District is created on the | ||
| effective date of this Act. | ||
| SECTION 3. This Act takes effect October 1, 2020. | ||
