A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to materials for school districts on human trafficking.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Subchapter A, Chapter 38, Education Code, is
  amended by adding Section 38.0042 to read as follows:
         Sec. 38.0042.  MATERIALS ON HUMAN TRAFFICKING. The agency,
  in consultation with experts in the field of human trafficking
  prevention, shall make available to each school district:
               (1)  training materials for school personnel on human
  trafficking, including strategies for the prevention of
  trafficking of children; and
               (2)  resource materials that describe local, state, and
  national resources to which students, parents, counselors, and
  school personnel can refer for information on human trafficking,
  including strategies for the prevention of trafficking of children.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
