| WHEREAS, Lance Lacy of San Angelo has been named the 2013 | ||
| REALTOR of the Year by the Texas Association of REALTORS; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The most prestigious award presented by the | ||
| organization, the REALTOR of the Year is given to a member who has | ||
| exemplified the highest level of dedication to real estate over the | ||
| past decade and has also made significant contributions to the | ||
| industry through involvement in the local, state, and national | ||
| associations; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Widely respected by his peers, Mr. Lacy has served | ||
| on more than 50 REALTORS association committees, subcommittees, and | ||
| task forces since 1988; he has been the president of the San Angelo | ||
| Association of REALTORS, chair of the Texas Association of | ||
| REALTORS, and regional vice president of the National Association | ||
| of REALTORS; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Despite his busy professional life, Mr. Lacy has | ||
| given generously of his time and talents to a number of worthy | ||
| causes, including the American Cancer Society, Rotary Club, and | ||
| Angelo State University Alumni Board; he is also a charter member | ||
| and president of the local Lions Club; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Through his skill, dedication, and commitment to | ||
| excellence, Lance Lacy has become known as a leader in his | ||
| profession and has made significant contributions to the community | ||
| at large; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Lance Lacy on his selection as the | ||
| 2013 REALTOR of the Year by the Texas Association of REALTORS and | ||
| extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and | ||
| happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Lacy as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
