R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Lance Lacy of San Angelo has been named the 2013
  REALTOR of the Year by the Texas Association of REALTORS; and
         WHEREAS, The most prestigious award presented by the
  organization, the REALTOR of the Year is given to a member who has
  exemplified the highest level of dedication to real estate over the
  past decade and has also made significant contributions to the
  industry through involvement in the local, state, and national
  associations; and
         WHEREAS, Widely respected by his peers, Mr. Lacy has served
  on more than 50 REALTORS association committees, subcommittees, and
  task forces since 1988; he has been the president of the San Angelo
  Association of REALTORS, chair of the Texas Association of
  REALTORS, and regional vice president of the National Association
  of REALTORS; and
         WHEREAS, Despite his busy professional life, Mr. Lacy has
  given generously of his time and talents to a number of worthy
  causes, including the American Cancer Society, Rotary Club, and
  Angelo State University Alumni Board; he is also a charter member
  and president of the local Lions Club; and
         WHEREAS, Through his skill, dedication, and commitment to
  excellence, Lance Lacy has become known as a leader in his
  profession and has made significant contributions to the community
  at large; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Lance Lacy on his selection as the
  2013 REALTOR of the Year by the Texas Association of REALTORS and
  extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and
  happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Lacy as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
