WHEREAS, Bob Mabee served his country with great honor and | ||
distinction as a member of the United States military, and he is | ||
being recognized for his contributions at the Clint Veterans Day | ||
Celebration on November 11, 2023; and | ||
WHEREAS, Originally celebrated as Armistice Day in | ||
recognition of the end of World War I, Veterans Day now honors all | ||
who have served in the armed forces, including the former members of | ||
the U.S. Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force, Coast | ||
Guard, and National Guard; by upholding America's foundational | ||
values of selflessness and sacrifice, they have helped ensure that | ||
our country's promise will endure for generations to come; and | ||
WHEREAS, Answering his nation's call to duty, Bob Mabee | ||
served in the U.S. Navy as a petty officer 1st class; and | ||
WHEREAS, Demonstrating exemplary dedication, Bob Mabee | ||
upheld the highest ideals of the U.S. armed forces during his years | ||
in uniform, and his fellow citizens owe him a lasting debt of | ||
gratitude; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby honor Bob Mabee for his | ||
military service on the occasion of the 2023 Clint Veterans Day | ||
Celebration and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; | ||
and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Mr. Mabee as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
House of Representatives. | ||
