| WHEREAS, Britnee Chuor of Houston has ably served her fellow | ||
| Texans as a policy analyst in the office of State Representative | ||
| Gene Wu during the 86th Legislative Session; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Chuor has provided | ||
| vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, | ||
| such as helping with education and criminal justice bills, | ||
| reporting on committee activity, and addressing stakeholder | ||
| concerns about proposed legislation; over the course of the 86th | ||
| Legislative Session and during her internship in Representative | ||
| Wu's district office in 2018, she has gained valuable experience in | ||
| the field of public service while learning more about the | ||
| legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star | ||
| State; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Ms. Chuor is a certified nonprofit professional who | ||
| holds a bachelor's degree in political science and liberal studies | ||
| from the University of Houston; the recipient of numerous honors | ||
| and scholarships, she was accepted into the Fulbright English | ||
| Teaching Assistant Program in 2019; in addition, she has interned | ||
| with BakerRipley and the City of Houston Mayor's Office of Trade and | ||
| International Affairs; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her | ||
| duties as a policy analyst with skill and dedication, and she is | ||
| indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby commend Britnee Chuor for her service as a | ||
| policy analyst in the office of State Representative Gene Wu and | ||
| extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her | ||
| endeavors; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Chuor as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
