R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Bessie Jackson was named the 2012 Outstanding
  Citizen by the Marble Falls/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce; and
         WHEREAS, The church administrator for St. Frederick Baptist
  Church and president of Mission Outreach, Mrs. Jackson was honored
  for her endeavors to provide food for those in need; since 1985,
  Mrs. Jackson has strived to expand programs such as Meals on Wheels,
  and she recently helped plan a new fellowship hall that can feed up
  to 900 individuals during her organization's annual Thanksgiving
  event; moreover, she has reached out to other area churches to
  assist with serving meals on Saturdays; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Jackson has lived in the Marble Falls area
  since the 1980s, and she served on the Marble Falls school board and
  the Granite Shoals City Council; this dynamic Texan is currently
  employed by the T. Q. Brown Community Center, where she is a senior
  advisor for the AARP program; and
         WHEREAS, Bessie Jackson has contributed in significant ways
  to the greater good of her community, and she has garnered the
  lasting respect and appreciation of her fellow citizens; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd
  Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Bessie Jackson on her receipt
  of the 2012 Outstanding Citizen Award from the Marble Falls/Lake
  LBJ Chamber of Commerce and extend to her sincere best wishes for
  continued success and happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mrs. Jackson as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
