WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Marjorie | ||
Marie Moss Landers of Llano, who passed away on April 4, 2017, at | ||
the age of 87; and | ||
WHEREAS, The former Marjorie Moss was born in Llano on May 18, | ||
1929, to Stephen Moss Jr. and Alberta Moss; in 1949, she married | ||
Gordon Landers, and the couple shared a rewarding union that was | ||
blessed with three children, Sharon, Stephen, and Karen; their | ||
family later grew to include five grandchildren and six | ||
great-grandchildren; and | ||
WHEREAS, In addition to being a dedicated homemaker, | ||
Mrs. Landers worked full-time as a rancher; she was also active in | ||
her community as a member of the Daughters of the American | ||
Revolution and as a congregant of the First Baptist Church of Llano; | ||
and | ||
WHEREAS, Marjorie Landers enjoyed a life that was rich in the | ||
intangibles that matter most, and she will long be remembered with | ||
deep admiration and affection by all who had the good fortune to | ||
know her; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Marjorie Marie | ||
Landers and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of her family: | ||
to her children, Sharon Clawson and her husband, Johnny, Stephen | ||
Landers and his wife, Judy, and Karen Pollei and her husband, Gary; | ||
to her grandchildren, Aron Horton, Jody and Walter Landers, and | ||
Jaydon and Justin Pollei; to her great-grandchildren, Mitchell and | ||
Reece Horton, Lyndi and Cole Landers, and Hudson and Samuel Pollei; | ||
and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of | ||
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Marjorie | ||
Landers. |
