R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Joe Molinar was elected to represent District 4 on
  the El Paso City Council in December 2020; and
         WHEREAS, In fulfilling the duties of his office, Mr. Molinar
  will draw on a wealth of valuable experience; he served in the U.S.
  Marine Corps, and he went on to enjoy a long career with the El Paso
  Police Department; after retiring as the commander for the Crimes
  Against Children Unit, he worked as a police officer and department
  trainer at the Socorro Independent School District for six years;
  and
         WHEREAS, A native of El Paso, Mr. Molinar has given
  generously of his time and talents to numerous civic organizations,
  including the VFW Post 8919 Auxiliary, the El Paso Neighborhood
  Coalition, the Franklin Mountains Wilderness Coalition, and the
  Northeast Substance Abuse Coalition; in addition, he is president
  of the Castner Heights Neighborhood Association and sergeant at
  arms of the Northeast Business Alliance; and
         WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of
  life for their fellow citizens in innumerable ways, and the efforts
  of Joe Molinar will help to make El Paso an even better place in
  which to live and work; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Joe Molinar on his election to the
  El Paso City Council and extend to him sincere best wishes for a
  successful tenure; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Molinar as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
