WHEREAS, Joe Molinar was elected to represent District 4 on | ||
the El Paso City Council in December 2020; and | ||
WHEREAS, In fulfilling the duties of his office, Mr. Molinar | ||
will draw on a wealth of valuable experience; he served in the U.S. | ||
Marine Corps, and he went on to enjoy a long career with the El Paso | ||
Police Department; after retiring as the commander for the Crimes | ||
Against Children Unit, he worked as a police officer and department | ||
trainer at the Socorro Independent School District for six years; | ||
and | ||
WHEREAS, A native of El Paso, Mr. Molinar has given | ||
generously of his time and talents to numerous civic organizations, | ||
including the VFW Post 8919 Auxiliary, the El Paso Neighborhood | ||
Coalition, the Franklin Mountains Wilderness Coalition, and the | ||
Northeast Substance Abuse Coalition; in addition, he is president | ||
of the Castner Heights Neighborhood Association and sergeant at | ||
arms of the Northeast Business Alliance; and | ||
WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of | ||
life for their fellow citizens in innumerable ways, and the efforts | ||
of Joe Molinar will help to make El Paso an even better place in | ||
which to live and work; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby congratulate Joe Molinar on his election to the | ||
El Paso City Council and extend to him sincere best wishes for a | ||
successful tenure; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Mr. Molinar as an expression of high regard by the | ||
Texas House of Representatives. |
