WHEREAS, Since opening in 2009, Harmony School of Innovation | ||
in Carrollton has earned a reputation for excellence; and | ||
WHEREAS, Currently offering classes from kindergarten | ||
through the ninth grade, Harmony School of Innovation provides | ||
students with character education and leadership development, as | ||
well as courses that lay the foundation for admission to college; | ||
math, science, and technology are emphasized in the curriculum, and | ||
the classroom experience is enhanced by such extracurricular | ||
activities as Robotics, Science Olympiad, MATHCOUNTS, and Advanced | ||
Science Fair; and | ||
WHEREAS, The school encourages students to participate | ||
beyond the classroom and parents to become actively involved in | ||
their child's education, and it has earned an Exemplary rating from | ||
the Texas Education Agency; and | ||
WHEREAS, Thanks to inspiring and dedicated teachers and an | ||
atmosphere that encourages both discipline and creative thinking, | ||
the students of the Harmony School of Innovation are receiving a | ||
strong educational foundation on which to build; now, therefore, be | ||
it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
Legislature hereby honor the Harmony School of Innovation in | ||
Carrollton for its achievements and extend to its students and | ||
faculty sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it | ||
further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for the school as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
House of Representatives. | ||
