R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Myles Johnson of Levelland High School achieved
great distinction by participating in the 2019 University
Interscholastic League Track & Field State Meet; and
WHEREAS, Joining the other top high school competitors in
Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 10 and 11,
Mr. Johnson competed in the 4A shot put and finished in third place;
and
WHEREAS, By earning the right to compete as one of the elite
track and field athletes in the Lone Star State, Myles Johnson has
ably represented his school, and he may indeed reflect with pride on
his notable accomplishments; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Myles Johnson on participating in
the 4A shot put at the 2019 UIL Track & Field State Meet and extend
to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Johnson as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
