| WHEREAS, Taressa Reid of San Marcos has ably served her | ||
| fellow Texans as an intern in the office of State Representative | ||
| Jarvis Johnson during the 88th Legislative Session; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Reid has provided vital | ||
| assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, | ||
| including analyzing legislation, meeting with stakeholders, and | ||
| drafting memos; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the | ||
| field of public service, she has learned more about the legislative | ||
| process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The daughter of Cleopatra and Robert Liedl, Ms. Reid | ||
| is a senior at Texas State University, where she is pursuing a | ||
| bachelor's degree in social work and has been named to the dean's | ||
| list; she plans to return to school to study dance and to eventually | ||
| open a movement therapy studio; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her | ||
| duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is | ||
| indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby commend Taressa Reid for her service as a | ||
| legislative intern in the office of State Representative Jarvis | ||
| Johnson and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success | ||
| in all her endeavors; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Reid as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
