R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The certain knowledge of a life well lived may
  temper the profound sadness felt by the loved ones of David Walker,
  who died on January 7, 2011, at the age of 59; and
         WHEREAS, "Lee" Walker was born in Austin on January 27, 1951,
  to Odis and Nelda Walker; as a young man, he loved playing sports,
  especially baseball; he graduated from Reagan High School in 1969;
  and
         WHEREAS, Pursuing an interest in aviation, Mr. Walker trained
  as a pilot at Central Texas College, earning his associate's degree
  in applied science in 1972; he went on to join his family's
  business, Walker Tire Company, in Austin, where he worked for
  nearly 40 years; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Walker enjoyed spending time with his family and
  friends, and he delighted in telling humorous stories about his
  hunting and fishing exploits; a resident of Dripping Springs, he
  was an active member of Wimberley Church of Christ; and
         WHEREAS, This devoted husband and father will be deeply
  missed, but the generosity, loyalty, and unconditional love he
  exhibited toward others will forever inspire all who had the good
  fortune to know him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of David "Lee" Walker and
  extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his
  wife, Sue Walker; to his parents, Odis and Nelda Walker; to his son,
  David Walker, and his wife, Julie; to his daughter, Emily Chumchal,
  and her husband, Matt; to his brothers, Wayne Walker and his wife,
  Regan, and Roy Walker; to his grandchildren, Tate and Grant Walker
  and Ella and Lily Chumchal; to his nephew Nate Walker and his many
  other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in honor of David "Lee"
  Walker.
