WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the | ||
passing of Nell Yates Helka of Waco on April 17, 2011, at the age of | ||
82; and | ||
WHEREAS, Born in South Bosque on January 9, 1929, the former | ||
Nell Yates was the daughter of Lawrence and Mary Yates; she shared a | ||
rewarding relationship with her husband, Vincent George Helka, and | ||
was a loving mother to her daughter, Jan, and her son, James; and | ||
WHEREAS, Mrs. Helka was employed as a bookkeeper until her | ||
retirement, and in her free time she enjoyed dancing; and | ||
WHEREAS, Although Nell Helka will be deeply missed, cherished | ||
memories of time spent in her company will long endure in the hearts | ||
of her family and friends; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Nell Yates Helka and | ||
extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her | ||
daughter, Jan Hopper; to her son, James E. Hopper, Jr., and his | ||
wife, Sherry; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it | ||
further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of | ||
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Nell Yates | ||
Helka. |
