R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Members and alumni of Leadership Gillespie County
  contribute immeasurably to Central Texas as civic leaders and
  volunteers; and
         WHEREAS, This exceptional program provides opportunities for
  participants to increase their knowledge of vital public issues and
  infrastructure and to visit with the leaders who are making
  decisions that affect their communities; and
         WHEREAS, Classes inspire the spirit of activism and provide a
  diverse membership with personal leadership training, networking
  opportunities, and instruction from knowledgeable figures
  representing both the public and private sectors; and
         WHEREAS, Through its efforts to build a more informed and
  involved citizenry and to develop new leaders, Leadership Gillespie
  County is helping to create a brighter and more promising future for
  the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Leadership Gillespie County for its
  promotion of civic leadership and volunteerism and extend to its
  participants sincere best wishes for continued success and
  achievement; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
