R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Jimmy and Gay Roy of Mount Pleasant celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on August 22, 2014, and they may indeed
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared;
and
WHEREAS, Jimmy Roy and the former Gay Moore met at Mount
Pleasant High School, and they exchanged the vows of matrimony when
they were still in their teens in 1964; over the course of their
marriage, they have found in each other a loving life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Roy count among their blessings a fine
family that includes four children, Jeff, Stefanie, Stacie, and
Tracie, with whom they treasure sharing many special occasions; and
WHEREAS, For half a century, Jimmy and Gay Roy have brought to
their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it is a
pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Jimmy and Gay Roy on their golden
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Roy as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
