WHEREAS, Victor Gonzalez of Starr County has inspired | ||
innumerable people through his great kindness; and | ||
WHEREAS, Although he is only eight years old, Victor has | ||
already demonstrated exceptional thoughtfulness and compassion; he | ||
is undergoing treatment for bone cancer and leukemia, but despite | ||
his own health challenges, he shows tremendous concern for others; | ||
and | ||
WHEREAS, Victor learned that his hospital roommate was about | ||
to turn two years old, and he wanted to assist in marking this | ||
special occasion; he posted a request on Facebook, and his | ||
relatives joined in raising enough money to host a birthday party | ||
for the little girl at the local Chuck E. Cheese's restaurant; to | ||
acknowledge his selflessness, Action 4 News recognized him in its | ||
Pay It 4Ward program; and | ||
WHEREAS, Through his generosity, Victor Gonzalez brought joy | ||
to a smaller child and her family, and in so doing, he has touched | ||
the hearts of many and set an example of selflessness for people of | ||
all ages; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas | ||
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby honor Victor Gonzalez for | ||
his good deed and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; | ||
and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Victor Gonzalez as an expression of high regard by the | ||
Texas House of Representatives. | ||
