Highway 635. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. The heading to Subchapter B, Chapter 372, | ||
Transportation Code, is amended to read as follows: | ||
SUBCHAPTER B. TOLL PROJECT OPERATION; LIMITATION ON TOLL | ||
COLLECTION | ||
SECTION 2. Subchapter B, Chapter 372, Transportation Code, | ||
is amended by adding Section 372.059 to read as follows: | ||
Sec. 372.059. TOLLS PROHIBITED ON PORTION OF INTERSTATE | ||
HIGHWAY 635. The department may not charge a toll, either directly | ||
or indirectly through an agreement with another toll project | ||
entity, on the portion of Interstate Highway 635 between its | ||
intersection with Interstate Highway 30 and its intersection with | ||
U.S. Highway 75. | ||
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
