| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 325.019, Government Code, is amended by | ||
| adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: | ||
| (d) Commission staff may have access to and interview any | ||
| employee of a state agency being reviewed by the commission under | ||
| this chapter and an employee of the state agency may voluntarily | ||
| participate in the review process. The state agency may not take an | ||
| adverse employment action against an employee based on the | ||
| employee's participation in the review process. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. | ||
