| relating to the cleaning of a structure used to grow oysters for | ||
| cultivated oyster mariculture. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Chapter 75, Parks and Wildlife Code, is amended | ||
| by adding Section 75.01055 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 75.01055. CLEANING OF STRUCTURES USED FOR GROWING | ||
| OYSTERS. A cultivated oyster mariculture permit holder may clean a | ||
| structure used to grow oysters for cultivated oyster mariculture at | ||
| the location where the permit holder is authorized to operate if the | ||
| permit holder: | ||
| (1) cleans the structure only with water from the | ||
| location where the permit holder is authorized to operate; and | ||
| (2) does not use soap, chemicals, or any other similar | ||
| substance to clean the structure. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. | ||
