BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 6.412(c), Tax Code, is amended to read as | ||
follows: | ||
(c) Except as otherwise provided by this subsection, a [ |
||
person is ineligible to serve on the appraisal review board if the | ||
person is a member of the board of directors, [ |
||
employee of the appraisal district, an employee of the comptroller, | ||
or a member of the governing body, officer, or employee of a taxing | ||
unit. A person employed by a school district as a teacher may serve | ||
on the appraisal review board. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. | ||
