R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Michael Charles
  Pistone of Galveston were deeply saddened by his passing on January
  8, 2022, at the age of 68; and
         WHEREAS, A proud third-generation native of Galveston
  Island, Michael Pistone was born to John and Priscilla Pistone on
  November 3, 1953; he grew up with three siblings, Anthony, Mark,
  and Paul, and he graduated from Ball High School; he began working
  at Sea-Arama Marineworld as a teenager, ultimately earning a
  promotion to food operations supervisor for the entire park; and
         WHEREAS, Embarking on a career of over 40 years in the
  hospitality industry, Mr. Pistone became known for his leadership
  skills and the relationships he built with employees; as a general
  manager, he developed his last property into a AAA Four Diamond
  resort; he was a founding member of the Galveston Hotel & Lodging
  Association, serving on its executive board for many years, and he
  sat on the Arts and Historical Preservation Advisory Board, the
  Grand 1894 Opera House advisory board, and the Galveston Park Board
  of Trustees; most recently, he received the Galveston Tourism
  Industry Lifetime of Service Achievement Award; and
         WHEREAS, Above all, Mr. Pistone treasured time spent with his
  family; he and his wife, Theresa, shared a rewarding marriage of
  more than four decades, and he took great pride in their two
  children, Amanda and Kathryn, and five grandchildren; he also
  adored his pets, Lucy and Sofia; and
         WHEREAS, Michael Pistone lived a life that was rich in
  personal and professional achievements, and he will forever be a
  source of inspiration to those he leaves behind; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature
  hereby pay tribute to the memory of Michael Charles Pistone and
  extend heartfelt condolences to the members of his family: to his
  wife, Theresa Hardee Pistone; to his daughters, Amanda Pistone and
  Kathryn Pistone; to his grandchildren, Olivia, Dylan, Lachlan,
  Ansley, and Finley; to his brothers, Mark Pistone and Paul Pistone;
  and to his many other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this
  day, it do so in memory of Michael Pistone.
