Summary
Polar Protection Act - Authorizes the Secretary of the department in which the Coast Guard (CG) is operating to use competitive procedures to enter into leases of at least 10 years for 2 polar icebreakers that meet the CG's maritime responsibilities in the Arctic and certain other requirements.
