Summary
Disaster Relief Appropriations Act, 2012 - Title I: Disaster Relief - Makes supplemental appropriations for FY2012 to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for the Disaster Relief Fund. Makes appropriations for disaster relief to the Department of Defense (DOD), Department of the Army, Corps of Engineers--Civil, for: (1) the Mississippi River and Tributaries for necessary expenses for the repair of damages to federal projects resulting from a major disaster; (2) Operation and Maintenance for necessary expenses to dredge navigation channels in response to, and repair damage to Corps projects resulting from, a major disaster; and (3) Flood Control and Coastal Emergencies for necessary expenses to prepare for flood, hurricane, and other natural disasters and support emergency operations, repair, and other activities authorized by law in response to a major disaster. Title II: Combating Waste, Fraud, and Abuse - Makes appropriations for FY2012 to the Social Security Adminstration for continuing disability reviews under title II (Old Age, Survivors and Disability Insurance) and title XVI (Supplemental Security Income) of the Social Security Act and for the cost associated with conducting redeterminations of eligibility under title XVI. Title III: General Provision - Provides that each amount appropriated or made available in this Act is in addition to amounts otherwise appropriated for the fiscal year involved.
