Summary

Encouraging each State to enact legislation that increases the likelihood of survival after sudden cardiac arrest in our Nation's schools. Encourages public schools with automated external defibrillators (AEDs), during time allocated under state law for training personnel in emergency first aid and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), to train personnel in the use of AEDs.
