Summary
This resolution sets forth the rule for consideration of H.B. 1140 (Rights for Transportation Security Officers Act of 2019). It shall be in order at any time on the legislative day of March 5, 2020, for the Speaker of the House to suspend the rules relating to a measure making supplemental appropriations for FY2020. The resolution waives a specified requirement of Rule XIII (Calendar and Committee Reports) to allow consideration of resolutions reported from the Committee on Rules through such legislative day, on the same day it is presented to the House, relating to a measure making supplemental appropriations for FY2020.

Providing for consideration of the bill (H.B. 1140) to enhance the security operations of the Transportation Security Administration and stability of the transportation security workforce by applying the personnel system under title 5, United States Code, to employees of the Transportation Security Administration who provide screening of all passengers and property, and for other purposes; providing for consideration of motions to suspend the rules; and waiving a requirement of clause 6(a) of rule XIII with respect to consideration of certain resolutions reported from the Committee on Rules.
