Summary

State and Local Government Conflict of Interests Act; employees of school boards. Provides that the prohibition on the employment of certain relatives of members of a school board does not apply to school districts located in Planning Districts 11, 12, and 13 provided (i) the school board member who has a relative employed by the school district certifies that he had no involvement with the hiring decision and (ii) the superintendent certifies to the remaining members of the school board in writing that the employment is based upon merit and fitness and the competitive rating of the qualifications of the individual and that no member of the board had any involvement with the hiring decision.
