Summary

Commission on the Reconveyance of Shenandoah National Park established; report; authority of Governor. Creates the Commission on the Reconveyance of Shenandoah National Park to develop recommendations regarding any proposed reconveyance of Shenandoah National Park by the United States government to the Commonwealth. The bill authorizes the Governor to accept a proposed reconveyance and to establish as a state park any lands conveyed. The act establishing the Commission will not become effective unless an appropriation of funds effectuating the purpose of the act is included in the general appropriation act passed during the 2014 Regular Session of the General Assembly that becomes law.
