Summary

Medically or ethically inappropriate care; cessation of care. Provides that, in cases in which a physician determines that medical care requested by a patient, his agent, or a person authorized to make decisions on the patient's behalf, an advance directive, or a Durable Do Not Resuscitate Order is medically or ethically inappropriate, the physician may cease to provide such care after making reasonable efforts for a 14-day period to transfer the patient to another physician who will provide the requested care.
