HOUSE BILL NO. 1319
AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE
(Proposed by the House Committee on Education
on February 5, 2020)

A BILL to require the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia
to collaborate with comprehensive community colleges to establish a certain
professional development and training program.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. §1. The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia shall collaborate with comprehensive community colleges to establish a professional development and training program for state instructional and information technology staff to obtain industry certification in cloud computing and data services technology, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
