Commending the Bradley Free Clinic.

WHEREAS, for 50 years, the Bradley Free Clinic has provided compassionate, comprehensive health care services to the residents of the Roanoke Valley; and

WHEREAS, established in 1974, the Bradley Free Clinic provides free medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services and other specialty programs to low-income, uninsured, and underinsured residents of the Roanoke Valley and surrounding areas; and

WHEREAS, the Bradley Free Clinic offers a professional, ethical, inclusive, and safe environment for all patients and works with local partners to address the unique needs of the community; and

WHEREAS, while the Bradley Free Clinic has grown in size, scope, and vision over the past five decades, it has maintained its clear focus on providing health care to anyone in need; the center has treated countless patients in the Roanoke Valley and achieved state and national accolades for its commitment to excellence; and

WHEREAS, the Bradley Free Clinic is supported by generous donations from individuals, local businesses, and foundations and receives other funding through the Virginia Association of Free and Charitable Clinics; and

WHEREAS, the Bradley Free Clinic has fulfilled its mission to enhance the quality of life throughout the Roanoke Valley through the hard work, dedication, and expertise of its staff members, medical students, and volunteers; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend the Bradley Free Clinic on the occasion of its 50th anniversary; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Janine Underwood, the executive director of the Bradley Free Clinic, as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for the clinic's work to promote community health and wellness by providing accessible, high-quality programs and services to people in need.
