WHEREAS, Nancy Soaper Hayden of Bowling Green, a beloved wife and mother, retired educator, and active member of her community, died on February 16, 2024; and
WHEREAS, Nancy Hayden enjoyed a long and fulfilling career with Spotsylvania County Public Schools and was well known in the Massaponax area for her commitment to service; and
WHEREAS, during her 26-year tenure with Spotsylvania County Public Schools, she worked as a sign language interpreter and supported children with developmental disabilities and behavioral or mental health issues through the REACH Program; and
WHEREAS, Nancy Hayden will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her husband, Darrell; her children, Christopher, Adrienne, and Amanda, and their families; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of Nancy Soaper Hayden; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Nancy Soaper Hayden as an expression of the General Assembly's respect for her memory.
