HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 147
Celebrating the life of Raymond Wilson Tolleson.

Agreed to by the House of Delegates, February 8, 2013

WHEREAS, Raymond Wilson Tolleson, a hardworking business owner and beloved Richmond resident, died on January 6, 2013; and

WHEREAS, the son of the late Jesse and Genevieve Tolleson, Raymond Wilson "Buddy" Tolleson graduated from the University of Georgia and remained a proud alumnus throughout his life; and

WHEREAS, Buddy Tolleson served his fellow Richmond residents as the president of Tolleson and Company, a real estate consultancy business; and

WHEREAS, a man who believed in the power of faith, Buddy Tolleson sat on the boards of the Titus Institute for Church Planting, an organization encouraging the growth of new churches, and Needle's Eye Ministries, a resource designed to help business professionals with matters of faith; and

WHEREAS, Buddy Tolleson was a devout member of All Saints Episcopal Church, enjoying fellowship and serving as the warden of the vestry; and

WHEREAS, working to build a strong community, Buddy Tolleson was a former president of the Tuckahoe YMCA and the West End Jaycees; and

WHEREAS, Buddy Tolleson loved his family and is survived by his wife, Alice; children, Scott, Ray, and Susan, and their families; and many other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Delegates hereby note with great sadness the loss of a respected business owner and a dedicated member of the Richmond community, Raymond Wilson Tolleson; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Raymond Wilson Tolleson as an expression of the House of Delegates' respect for his memory.
