WHEREAS, Azar's Mediterranean Specialties is a family-owned and operated business that has served high-quality Mediterranean cuisine to the Virginia Beach community and beyond for 36 years; and
WHEREAS, founded in 1988 by George and Laila Azar, Azar's Mediterranean Specialties began as a store and wholesale business selling natural, prepared food items, and has grown over the years to include two restaurant locations and a catering business; and
WHEREAS, Azar's Mediterranean Specialties manufactures and distributes a variety of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean fare, including three different flavors of hummus, as well as dressings and dips; and
WHEREAS, through its restaurant, retail store, food commissary, and catering service, Azar's Mediterranean Specialties maintains a steadfast commitment to delivering its customers the authentic and appetizing flavors of the Mediterranean; and
WHEREAS, with an emphasis on hospitality and customer service, Azar's Mediterranean Specialties offers its patrons delightful and memorable dining experiences that keeps them returning time and again; and
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of Azar's Mediterranean Specialties are the result of the leadership of its owners, the tireless efforts of its staff, and the unwavering support of the Virginia Beach community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Azar's Mediterranean Specialties hereby be commended for its legacy of service; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Azar's Mediterranean Specialties as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the business's contributions to the Commonwealth.
