WHEREAS, for seven years, House of Victory Fredericksburg Church has empowered its members to lead lives of faith and purpose, developing a strong and Christ-centered community in the region; and
WHEREAS, House of Victory Fredericksburg Church traces its roots to August 2017, when Dwayne and Markeeta Robinson held an informational meeting about creating a new church community; and
WHEREAS, on September 10, 2017, House of Victory Fredericksburg Church held the first of several soft launches, offering worship services in a small room at Dorothy Hart Community Center; interest was so high that the church quickly outgrew multiple meeting rooms and relocated to the center's auditorium; and
WHEREAS, to better accommodate the growing congregation, House of Victory Fredericksburg Church began holding services at James Monroe High School on November 19, 2017, then held a grand opening weekend beginning on December 9, 2017; and
WHEREAS, currently located on Pine Road, House of Victory Fredericksburg Church maintains a vibrant congregation with people of all ages and backgrounds; and
WHEREAS, in addition to ministries supporting men, women, and youths, House of Victory Fredericksburg Church conducts generous outreach in the community; and
WHEREAS, members of House of Victory Fredericksburg Church have served more than 1,000 meals to displaced people living in hotels, provided more than 1,000 turkey baskets to local families during holiday seasons, donated hundreds of winter coats to school children in need, and purchased gas for families during the COVID-19 pandemic, along with other forms of financial assistance; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That House of Victory Fredericksburg Church hereby be commended for its years of service to the Fredericksburg community; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Dwayne and Markeeta Robinson, pastors of House of Victory Fredericksburg Church, as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for their spiritual leadership and commitment to community outreach.
