Summary

The purpose of this bill is to expand the membership of the Racing Commission from three to five members and reorganizes the administrative functions of the West Virginia Racing Commission by establishing a State Racing Office and creating the position of Director of Racing. The Director of Racing will be a gubernatorial appointee and will be responsible for the daily management of the authorities and responsibilities of the West Virginia Racing Commission.
