Summary

The purpose of this bill is to provide improvements to the statutory provisions relating to the writing of worthless checks. The bill would alter the criminal penalty for writing a worthless check; provide a procedure for issuing a summons when the drawer is an out-of-state resident; and allow the prosecuting attorney to drop some charges when restitution has been made.
