Summary

The purpose of this bill establishes the West Virginia State Police as the entity which is authorized to issue administrative subpoenas to Internet service providers in cases of suspected child pornography; to define offenses and set forth penalties and fees. This article is new; therefore, strike-throughs and underscoring have been omitted. This bill was recommended for introduction and passage during the 2011 Regular Session of the Legislature by the Joint Standing Committee on the Judiciary.
