Summary
The purpose of this bill is to provide for land conservation and stewardship through a newly-created Outdoor Heritage Conservation Fund to provide grants to certain state agencies and qualifying 501(c)(3) organizations. An enhanced fee for the recording of deeds will be divided equally between the existing Farmland Protection Fund and the Outdoor Heritage Conservation Fund. The Board of Trustees of the new Fund may direct the Economic Development Fund to issue revenue bonds to be secured by a portion of the recording fee.
