An act relating to wildlife.


LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


AB 1549, as introduced, O’Donnell. Wildlife: Catalina Island.
Existing law vests the Department of Fish and Wildlife with jurisdiction over the conservation, protection, and management of fish, wildlife, native plants, and habitats necessary for biologically sustainable populations of those species. Existing law designates the department as the trustee for fish and wildlife resources.
This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to address the condition of wildlife on Catalina Island.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 It is the intent of the Legislature to enact subsequent legislation that would address the condition of wildlife on Catalina Island.
