   An act relating to state property.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 600, as introduced, Hall. Surplus state property: Compton
Armory.
   Existing law authorizes the Director of General Services to
dispose of surplus state property, subject to specified conditions,
including authorization by the Legislature.
   This bill would authorize the director, notwithstanding any other
provision of law, to lease to the National Institute of Community
Enlightenment, at fair market value, specified state-owned property
known as the Compton Armory.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: yes.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  The Director of General Services may lease, at fair
market value, state-owned property located at 2320 North Parmalee
Avenue, Compton, California, 90222, known as the Compton Armory
subdivision (g) of Section 11011 of the Government Code shall not
apply to the revenue received from the lease of this property.
