Senate Bill No. 438

Introduced by Senator Hertzberg

February 21, 2019

An act to amend Section 66514 of the Government Code, relating to transportation.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

SB 438, as introduced, Hertzberg. Metropolitan Transportation Commission: transbay bridges.
The Metropolitan Transportation Commission Act creates the Metropolitan Transportation Commission as a local area planning agency to provide comprehensive regional transportation planning for the region comprised of the 9 bay area counties. Existing law prohibits the construction of any transbay bridge in the region without the approval of the commission, except as specified.
This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to the provision relating to transbay bridges.
