AN ACT REDUCING GRANTS FROM THE CITIZENS' ELECTION PROGRAM AND TRANSFERRING THE RESULTING SAVINGS TO THE GENERAL FUND.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 157 of the general statutes be amended to reduce the grants by fifty per cent for primaries and general elections and that the difference in the current grant amounts and the proposed grant amounts be transferred to the General Fund.
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce the grant amounts in the Citizens' Election Program by fifty per cent and transfer the savings to the General Fund.
