AN ACT REPEALING THE DEATH PENALTY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to eliminate the death penalty as an authorized sentence and make life imprisonment without the possibility of parole the maximum sentence.
Statement of Purpose:
To repeal the death penalty which is not workable or effective.
