Summary

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 1 of Title 31 and Article 1 of Chapter 24 of Title 33 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to general provisions relative to health and insurance, respectively, so as to provide good faith estimates regarding the cost of health care services; to provide for definitions; to require health care providers to provide good faith estimates of costs and fees available to consumers upon request; to require health insurers to provide good faith estimates of costs available to consumers upon request; to provide for time limits; to prohibit the limitation of disclosure by contract; to provide for construction; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
