AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1682
AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1682 by replacing
everything after the enacting clause with the following:
"Section 5. The State Finance Act is amended by adding
Section 9.08 as follows:
(30 ILCS 105/9.08 new)
Sec. 9.08. State agency reports; bills held by the agency.
(a) On October 1, 2013 and by October 1 of each fiscal year
thereafter, each State agency shall report the aggregate dollar
amount of any bills held at the State agency on the previous
June 30 to the Office of the State Comptroller.
(b) As soon as possible after receiving a report from a
State agency under subsection (a) of this Section, the State
Comptroller shall post on his or her public-facing website the
amount reported by the State agency.
(c) For purposes of this Section, "State agency" has the

meaning ascribed to that term in the Illinois State Auditing
Act.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
becoming law.".
