SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
30 ILCS 571/36 new

Amends the Project Labor Agreements Act. Provides that, if a municipality, county, or township prohibits the consideration of a project labor agreement by rule, initiative, or ordinance, then State funding or financial assistance shall not be used to support that project.

1 AN ACT concerning finance.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Project Labor Agreements Act is amended by
5adding Section 36 as follows:
6 (30 ILCS 571/36 new)
7 Sec. 36. Local government prohibition. If a municipality,
8county, or township prohibits the consideration of a project
9labor agreement by rule, initiative, or ordinance, then State
10funding or financial assistance shall not be used to support
11that project.
