| 1 | AN ACT concerning finance.
| ||||||
| 2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
| ||||||
| 3 | represented in the General Assembly:
| ||||||
| 4 | Section 5. The Project Labor Agreements Act is amended by | ||||||
| 5 | adding Section 36 as follows:
| ||||||
| 6 | (30 ILCS 571/36 new) | ||||||
| 7 | Sec. 36. Local government prohibition. If a municipality, | ||||||
| 8 | county, or township prohibits the consideration of a project | ||||||
| 9 | labor agreement by rule, initiative, or ordinance, then State | ||||||
| 10 | funding or financial assistance shall not be used to support | ||||||
| 11 | any public works project authorized by that municipality, | ||||||
| 12 | county, or township.
