Bill Title: Amends the Criminal Code of 1961 relating to criminal trespass to real property. Provides that notice that entry to the property is forbidden may be posted by the owner or lessee of the property by placing identifying purple marks on trees or posts around the area to be posted. Prescribes the requirements for the purple marks. Provides that prior to applying a cap or mark which is visible from both sides of a fence shared by different property owners or lessees, all such owners or lessees shall concur in the decision to post their own property. Effective immediately.

AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1914
2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1914 on page 3, by
3inserting immediately below line 19 the following:
4 "The public of this State shall be informed of the
5provisions of this amendatory Act of the 97th General Assembly
6by the network of rural agencies such as soil and water
7conservation districts, Illinois Tree Farm, Walnut Council,
8county offices of the United States Department of Agriculture
9Farm Service Agency, the United States Department of
10Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service, the
11Illinois Forestry Association, and any other like
12organizations and agencies that have newsletters and web
13sites.".
